- Application of 3D printing of superalloy heat exchangers for supercritical CO2. Collaboration with Prof. Vinod Narayanan, UC Davis. Support from EERE/SETO and ARPA-E.
- Highly scalable code for elasto-viscoplastic micromechanics. Collaboration with Ricardo Lebensohn (LANL) and Prof. Ashley Spear (U. Utah).
- Machine vision applied to classification of powders used in, and pores found in 3D printed metals. Collaboration with Prof. E.A. Holm. Support from the Army Research Lab.
- Bragg Coherent Diffraction in buried grains. Collaboration with Prof. R.M. Suter. Support from DOE/BES.
- Development of ICME Tools for Material Development for Naval Applications. Collaboration with NRL. Support from ONR.
- Development of an Additive Manufacturing Ecosystem for Qualification of Additive Manufacturing Processes and Materials in Aviation, collaboration with UTEP, CSM, WPI, CWRU, MRL, others. Support from the NASA's ULI Program.
- Fast X-ray Microscopy to Quantify the Nucleation of Hot Cracking, NSF support.
- Data-Driven Discovery of Optimized Multifunctional Material Systems Center of Excellence (D3OM2S CoE), led by Prof. E.A. Holm.
